@Orchard LLC has been retained by a well-established Big 4 client. Our client has an immediate need for experienced Sr Associates to join their team. ​​​​Responsibilities: 

  • Provide U.S. Government contract regulatory and cost accounting consulting services to leading Government contractors across the Aerospace & Defense, manufacturing, technology, services, healthcare, transportation and engineering industries
  • Conduct indirect rate studies and assist clients with cost and rate structure strategy
  • Provide research to clients, conduct gap assessments and performance audits and assist with transformation activities
  • Assist other service lines of the firm providing subject matter knowledge and support on U.S. Government contract compliance including our Federal, Cybersecurity, Shared Services and Outsourcing and Strategy practices
  • Assess U.S. Government contract regulatory risk as part of transaction due diligence
  • Assist in developing and delivering U.S. Government business-oriented regulatory compliance training materials

Qualifications: 

  • ​​​​Minimum five years of relevant experience in cost accounting standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Disclosure Statements and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) business systems for a consulting firm, a U.S. Government contractor, or in the Federal Government, such as the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) or Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business/ Operations or other relevant field from an accredited college/university
  • Experience in compliance or rates monitoring, conducting audits and gap assessments aimed at testing design and effectiveness of controls and writing summary reports or relevant experience
  • Certifications such as CPA, CMA, CISA, or CMMC preferred
  • Previous experience working with a U.S. Government contractor in the industrial manufacturing or technology services sectors is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and research skills as well as the ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel for client engagements across the United States
