Specific Responsibilities:
The IT Project Manager – Resource Capacity Process Owner is integral to the Project Management process. As a Resource Capacity Process Owner, you will be responsible for creating and implementing best practices for workforce capacity planning, utilization and optimization of resources to meet IT project demand and project delivery on time. The Resource Capacity Process Owner will work closely with Project Managers, Operations Resource Managers, and Business Partners within the project arena to document project workforce requirements based on business priorities to best deliver and meet project and business needs and deadlines. Also responsible for: Monitoring forecasted capacity for reliability; Assessing existing capacity and developing plans to meet forecasted demand; Monitoring capacity and demand, identifying capacity constraints and changes, and providing analysis; Bringing awareness to the business regarding conflicting priorities; Reviewing data and trends and diagnosing problems and concerns; Identifying and driving improvement initiatives that optimize capacity and ensuring best return on investment without adding risk or disruption; Ensuring that the right tools and processes are in place to deliver effective capacity planning and performance monitoring across the organization. This position requires strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills to work laterally and vertically with all levels of management.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of Project Management experience
- 3+ years of Workforce Capacity Planning experience
- Experience with ServiceNow ITBM – Resource Management Module
- Project Management experience in Information Technology preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
